Community Stabilization Services are direct mental health care to non-hospitalized individuals  5 years of age and older who are experiencing an acute crisis of a psychiatric nature that may jeopardize their current community living situation. 

Qualifications

• Experiencing difficulty in establishing and maintaining normal interpersonal relationships to such a degree that they are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization or homelessness or isolation from social supports.

• Experiencing difficulty in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as maintaining personal hygiene, preparing food and maintaining adequate nutrition, or managing finances to such a degree that health or safety is jeopardized.

• Exhibiting such inappropriate behavior that immediate interventions by mental health, social services, or the judicial system are or have been necessary.

• Difficulty in cognitive ability. For example, one is unable to recognize personal danger or recognize significantly inappropriate social behavior.

Mental Health Skill-Building Services are defined as goal-directed training to enable individuals to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

• Are you 18 years of age and up?

• Do you currently have Medicaid?

• Have you been diagnosed with the following:

  • Bipolar I or II

  • Major Depression

  • Schizophrenia Spectrum

• Have you ever been in a residential home, hospitalized for mental health, or received crisis services?

• Have you been prescribed psychotropic medication or mood stabilizing medication in the last 12 months?

Mobile Crisis Response provides rapid response, assessment and early intervention to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This service is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The purpose of this service includes prevention of acute exacerbation of symptoms, prevention of harm to the individual or others, provision of quality intervention in the least restrictive setting, and development of an immediate plan to maintain safety in order to prevent the need for a higher level of care.

23-Hour Crisis Stabilization is appropriate for individuals who have urgent behavioral health needs including but not limited to significant emotional dysregulation, disordered thought processes, substance use and intoxication resulting in behavioral crisis and environmentally de-stabilizing events that require crisis intervention and observation to stabilize the immediate crisis. 

RCSU provides 24/7, residential psychiatric and substance related assessment and brief intervention. The service supports individuals who are experiencing behavior impairment, decompensation in functioning, require continued monitoring, and stabilization. RCSU also medically monitors residents for the purpose of providing psychiatric stabilization and/or substance withdrawal management, on a short-term basis.
